What Are We Celebrating?

Celebrations are good for everyone involved. Everybody is happy and many would wish they last forever. That is a good feeling of a great celebration, but it is not always like that for everyone. Sometimes people celebrate the wrong things making others angry. This is like what I once said about giving thanks, for when we think of the hunter in front of the animal. He is thanking God for the capture, and the animal for the great dinner. Who’s the predator and who’s the prey? In this case I guess they both are for they both wanted the same for whatever reason. In both cases they are either “thanking” or celebrating their “good luck.” In the case of the people celebrating we could say “Who’s celebrating the good and who’s celebrating the bad? And, what is the good or what is the bad?” In times of war or even in the case of sports encounters, one side wins and the other loses. In the case of sports it shows who played better, The winners go to celebrate and the losers go to practice and get better. In the case of war, I guess, who’s got better armament or weaponry, better tactics, kill more people in the army and sometimes even civilians. The winners go celebrate whatever the motivation was, whether bad or good. The motivation is not a fact in the sense that what’s bad for ones could be good for others. Usually the ones who start it do it for their own interests probably provoked by either, envy, hatred or gains desired, and that’s not good according to the ones who follow the peace. The ones who are attacked would be defending themselves which justifies; or leaves them no choice. We want peace, but don’t want injustice and some seek “peace” gun in hand, and celebrate anyway. In this month we, Christians, celebrate the birth of our Savior, because we know that no matter how much all those who didn’t want Him around did by killing babies and trying to eliminate anybody or anything that related to His being here, HE MADE IT because He did it for His love for us (John 3.16) and anything that the powerful enemy [that so hates and envies the Lord God] does to eliminate the Love and the Peace He left us, is going to fail because the Bible says it to the ones who believe: You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is HE who is in you than he who is in te world. (I John 4.4) So we do not have to worry about anything for we are more than conquerors (Romans 8.37) Our adversary, the devil, is scared because he knows his final time is near. We are in the concluding times and he and his followers will have the same outcome and it wouldn’t be a celebration surely for them. We celebrate now in spite of the wicked to whom Jesus also came to save but they did not want to because they rather jeopardize their infinite future in order to live a non lasting (ephemeral) pleasure. But we celebrate the truth which was announced. And the angel said: “Do not be afraid; for behold I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a savior who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2.10-11) And this is great news to celebrate. Merry Christmas !!!

Are we really ingrained in the TRUTH? What is the outcome?

Many people cannot recognize the truth because they have not lived it. We can say that of lies too. If people have lived the way Satan’s agents work out his “truths”, they can tell they are really lies. You have to live it to believe it, some can say. No matter how many times we hear the truth, some people are not going to believe it unless they care, because they live it. That is the reason why many people who are sent to spy the “other side” have changed their minds when they live with the “enemy” and learn to behave like them, to mislead them, but they can get to feel like them if they get too involved and learn “truths” they didn’t know about, and touch them enough. And it could become significant to their lives. That is the truth, no matter which side you’re on. It is very sad for some people who have put their lives at risk to save their family of “lies” that can kill, to learn later that those lies have reached that family they were trying to protect which turns against them. That truth kills parents making them feel defeated due to the ignorance of others, YET, we Christians have an alternative we can’t ignore and that is to keep deep-rooted in the TRUTH. We must keep praying for our children. God hears our prayers. We don’t need to wait for an interview with Him. And the Christians who listen to other Christians strengthen their faith learning the truth. So Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10.17) In the epistle according to John (and author of the 3 letters of John in the New Testament prior to the book of Revelation, also of his authorship) Jesus said the famous “I AM’s”: The Bread of life (6. 35, 41, 48, 51); The Light of the World (8. 12, 9.5); The Door & Pastor (10. 7, 9, 11, 14); The Resurrection & Life (11.25); The Teacher (13.13); The Way, The TRUTH and The Life (14.6); The True Vine (15.1,5). And because we have believed all of that, we have become His real family and have all the resources to be safe from everything the Devil has threaten against us, with the help of his friends who can turn things around to make us look bad just for doing the will of God. That is why we must obey the TRUTH no matter what, because we are convinced that if He loved us enough to become one of us He was going to suffer. And according to the Father, He had to suffer the consequences of our faults in order to make us worthy of Life Eternal, otherwise we would ALL had failed to live (Read Romans chapter3. 10-22): For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3.23) The Bible is very clear in stating what we should do. It doesn’t mean that God’s commandments were given as some kind of sanction, but as a warning of what could happen if we dare not execute them. Of course we all know that if we don’t do what we are supposed to we will suffer bad result, but if we repent of even thinking it, we can be cleared of danger. Nevertheless, sometimes we need to be in distress in order to wise up. James (probably Jesus’ half brother) explained it: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete lacking in nothing. (James 1. 2-4) So, never think that a trial is a punishment but rather the earning of a Diploma. Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1.12) In this month we celebrate Thanksgiving Day let’s be truthful and give thanks to the Only One who never changes for He created us with love and will take care of us always. In His Word He has given us more than a thousand promises we can count on if we are his, like this prayer: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life. And I wll dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER. (Psalm23.4-6)

Are We ready to face our Creator?

The Bible says we will face Him; and everything that is happening in our world today is prophesied there too. It says that because of sin there’s death, and to die, things must deteriorate; reason for which we look worse today than years before. If you see a movie about long time ago, even the crooks and the mafia people dressed like gentlemen. Today, you even see important people on TV looking raggedy. And when they open their mouth. . . God created us with a free will, (not as slaves like the world’s bosses want to make us today.) He knew how things would end up in these last days, no doubt. His word says: Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him (Revelation 1.7a) But not only that, it also says that every knee will bow to Him (Philippians 2.10) because nobody would want to go to hell, and expects that his/her justification attitude then would help, but then it will be too late. Now is the time to repent for our mistakes. And I think, how about when He calls us by our name and asks us for our doings? Remember there will be a judgment day for everyone. I can just imagine what many are going to say when they have Him in front of them. . . “N- no. . .Y-you d-do not exist. . .I-I-I was told. . . th-that was a fable of the idiots. I-I-I’m not at fault.” Remember that will not be a world’s court where they blame the bad experiences to weaken the penalty. There’s no need for jurors, for God knows it all. If “someone else” taught you something you assert, it doesn’t mean he’s right. Find out for yourself, verify it; you don’t know that person’s compromise with the tempter. I don’t know how I would react when I have Him in front, but I am sure I will thank Him like I do it every day, for loving me, making me feel secure and paying my dues for having sinned, so the Father would accept me. I want you to know that every single day, when I’m playing on my phone, a message pops out saying “Do not be afraid for I am with you.” And that gives me peace for I know I’ll have no problem at all. How nice it is to know that no matter what, we, who have believed in Him, will be saved from Satan’s power (which only exists on this world. He has no power in the universe.) Just like the apostle Paul said: Therefore there is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has set you free from the law of sin and of death. (Romans 8.1,2) Some might say “but we have problems in this world and also die” Yes, that’s the result of the original sin of not obeying God’s commands. Yet we will resurrect one day, ones to live eternally, and others to die again. Do you know who will do one or the other? I have heard testimonies of people who have left important jobs in tyrant governments to come to where their victims dwell. I don’t know if they come as spies or really repented, but they all say the same thing to justify themselves: “But I did not do anything bad.” We might not know, but God does know everything and all we did on earth is accounted for in heaven, so everyone will know the truth and there’s no need to lie. Now is the time of Grace when we can really repent and be safe. It is NOT what we did or not, it is what HE did for us. Believe it or not, before God we ALL will be humble. His greatness is too much for anyone to resist especially if we are not His children now. Remember what Paul wrote: Therefore there is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We must mean it, though, and show it in our actions. Paul, the apostle, whom God designated to lead the non-Jewish community (the gentiles) and wrote most of the epistles of the New Testament, was a persecutor of Christians before he was confronted with Jesus Himself (Read Acts chapter 9) and could NOT go on with his bad attitude. He learned the truth; that is why we know that anyone can change if he wants to and be free of any tormented emptiness that Christians’ prosecutors may inflict on anyone, and even be leaders in the righteous community for they have experienced, first hand, the power of the Holy Spirit who intercedes for everyone who confesses, from the heart, like many have done, to gain life eternal. That is why he himself wrote: Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold new things have come. (2 Corinthians 5,17) If people do not leave behind the “old things” they did not really want to be in Christ and will not enjoy the new life that makes us conquerors over any bad feeling. One who did want to leave the bad in the past wrote for us his testimony in the most promising chapters in the Bible: For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8.38,39)

Would We be Willing to Humble ourselves on Pursuit of Life?

How much do we value our life? Is it worth fighting for it? Some people have fallen into such bad depths that do not see any way out other than death, not realizing the penalty which is eternal. That is why we say: If the problem has a great solution to our life, why end it if we can mend it? Just like it’s not for us to take the law into our own hands, it is NOT good to take our Creator’s gift as a nuisance. We can make it right and thank God for He gives us now the opportunity to be forgiven; He will bless us eternally. Besides He has assured us that He: causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, (Romans 8.28 b) and if we love God, we will obey His commandments. What happens in “this world” which is governed by the “corrupt prince” is that he wants everyone to worship him, just like he wanted Jesus to do it too, but Jesus knew how to outsmart him with the written Word, (Read Matthew 4.1-11) something we can do too if we are smart and prepared. But in order to do that, we must study the Scriptures and believe everything written there, and obey them. What happens is that we rather obey who is also a created being, and comes with lies because they are more “realistic” to our understanding, like someone told me once: Who in his right mind gets hit on a cheek and turns the other? That’s stupid, I’d hit them harder so they remember. It might sound stupid to the ones who rather be dead than sorry, but the ones who rather live than die eternally, will humble themselves and do whatever’s on their power to please who came to redeem the guilty by paying the price for us. The ones who think that by doing “worse” they will redeem themselves do not know the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness is NOT to reward anyone for the bad they have done, it is to let a higher authority decide to judge the issue, and He who knows everything and the intentions of the aggressor shall act. That is why when we turn the other cheek we are also asking God for forgiveness too. We also need it in case we have done something to others. That is called being humble and that’s why in the Lord’s Prayer we say: “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” We are God’s creation therefore He knows what we are capable of. He has asked us throughout the Bible not to worry for anything for whatever He decides is good for the humble one. He does not like the arrogant who thinks he can do anything for himself. Remember that He created us and has the power to end it all in one moment, but also in one moment he could change it all for good; reason for which we should be appreciative for every situation and ask Him for His protection, gratefully. He has promised us safety if we trust and obey Him. Even in things that seem impossible for the abundance of evil against the “justice” He will be merciful, but we must be humble. His promise is: If I shut up the heavens, so there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or I send pestilence among my people, and My people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7. 13-14)

Are We Giving Out All the Potential God Created us with?

We all have been created with an ability but many people do not recognize it. Some even think they are “good for nothing” and don’t try to look for it. They might think, perhaps also on the mean suggestion of others, they have no chance in this world and rather leave it, and take their life even without trying. That is bad because we are rejecting an “aid”, and that is being ungrateful. I’ve heard people say things like: God gives hats to people with no head, I usually answer: He wants them to find it to be heroes, but they think that’s impossible. I personally know people who have the potential to be something great and for bad choices become losers; people who were born on a “gold crib” and decided to obey the wrong people or desires and lost it all. Those are Satan’s purpose followers who will not humble enough to know they have to ask God for help thinking they know it all. On the other hand there are people who know they have certain abilities but use them for the wrong purpose, perhaps because they give them better income. But “income” does not give you forgiveness or eternal life when you are in the wrong side. That is why we should look to be on the right side and seek the only way which is Jesus, the Son of God who said: “This is the will of my father that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I myself will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6.40) We have talents in different levels but some don’t use them to their giver’s honor, for whatever reason. They will get what they deserve, though. Do you know what it is? Jesus said a parable in Matthew 25. 14-30. That is the lesson of the talents, read it and find out what our destiny will be if we don’t do the right thing. God created this world for us to take care of it, and gave us all authority to rule it, and the only ONE thing He said no to, we disobeyed, because the adversary (Satan) whose idea was to destroy God’s good intentions for us lied to the woman and she believed him. And since she’s our mother we all became sinners, but God loved us so that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John3.16b) Many lessons Jesus taught were in form of parables, reason for which when I read the Talent one, I decided on doing something since I was told by teachers I was effective at writing. I tried at many things I liked with no success but I kept on trying. Once we had a hurricane and that day I read the first chapter of the prophet Nahum and wrote about the power of the Lord against who devises against Him. I gave my commentary to a newspaper owner I met and he liked it. From then on I wrote a column on his paper on the power on knowing the truth. Jesus is the truth that makes you free of being frightened in any circumstances and when I wanted to give out the Potential my Creator gave me I started hearing my Master’s voice: “Well done good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.” (Matthew 25.23b)

Would you like to invest in a great career?

I imagine everybody would like that; especially on one that promises good money to sustain your future being and that of your descendants. Maybe you would like to discover something that revolutions an industry and benefit many people, as it has happened in many cases we’ve seen. Of course not everyone has the capability of “making it” into the famous discoverers of the world, but that doesn’t mean we cannot make a difference in life through other means. Did you know that God wants to give you a great career for your future that starts right here, now? He said You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; (Mathew 25,21b) That is despite all the difficulties you may encounter in this world that is being led by Satan’s allies. And that means that if you give your will to his purpose (Satan’s) you would probably succeed in this world, and make lots of money too, but. . . How long would it last? Don’t you think there could be another “Big Bang” that could do away with everything you own? What is the most precious thing that you own? Back in 2008 there were many people who didn’t have to worry about many things before, except when they lost their most precious thing which gave them the life style they were used to have, so they didn’t care to keep on living. They didn’t care about their family’s future because they were only concerned on their money like it happened to a rich man Jesus spoke about who had so much he wanted to tear down hi barns to build larger ones to not worry about “anything” when God told him: “YOU FOOL! THIS VERY NIGHT YOUR SOUL IS REQUIRED OF YOU; AND NOW WHO WILL OWN WHAT YOU HAVE PREPARED?” (Luke 12.20) Many people make a career of things they study, things they like, or things that are easy for them to do; there’s nothing wrong with that. But when you involve greed which usually comes with doing Satan’s purpose, is when the “Big Bang” might hit the fool, and Jesus said it: “So is the man who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12.21) There’s nothing wrong with being rich, because the rich donate money to good causes and give opportunities to working people. What’s wrong is the greed of the power to control people and things to favor the ones who follow Satan’s purpose. And we know who they are, and so does God. He wants us to pray for them, though, so we can show the power of LOVE. And if you seek the presence of God in your life and teach your descendants to honor Him, you will experience the benefit of knowing the truth that will make you free. That is the greatest career we can invest on that will pay for an eternity. The careers for this world only last for the time we live here which is only, if well cared, around eighty, ninety and one hundred at the most, but the ones who don’t follow Satan’s purpose will live forever. When Jesus said: “It is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven” (Mathew 19.23) I am pretty sure he was referring to the ones who gained it fraudulently and live only for themselves not helping the needy or honoring God for it. Jesus pleaded for the ones who were taking His life when He said: “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23.34) The ones “in charge” believed the ones who accused Jesus because they were “important people” to whom Jesus was a bother when He spoke the Truth. All those who think God doesn’t exist because He is a bother to their schemes will grieve when they meet Him after death just as the ones who didn’t listen to Noah whom they laughed at, but his was the only one family who was saved from the “big banged” flood. Jesus told Martha, the sister of His dead friend whom he resurrected: “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me will live, even if he dies. (John 11.25)

When troubled, who are we going to call on?

I think we would call whoever could help us the most in the problem we are facing; that is why there are so many different businesses around. Nevertheless the smart people are always going to call The Best which is the One who can solve anything, and He will act if we do call on Him and He’ll send the best option. Never leave Him for last when there’s no alternative. I am referring to God, of course. Maybe some might feel they are not worth and that is why He does not answer the way expected. But, we are His creation and He loves us all the same, that’s why he sent His only begotten Son to sacrifice himself in our place so we could be safe of what’s coming up to the earth because of man’s disobedience, which is the rejection to enter to Life Eternal with Jesus who said: I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14.6) Which is why I am so sad for those who reject Him, thus the Father also. And so with the ones who dare invoke the presence of the one whose fault caused the fall of the man God created. Those will also have consequences not very likeable either and all the ones who follow their steps too. If we are going to call on someone, why call on that traitor? Because he was so smart and beautiful and there was no one like him in the universe, he became so conceited that he even dare to ask the Son of God to belittle Himself to worship him. And we are still here today because He did not. Thank God! Otherwise everything would have been finished long time ago. . . but God is so great and merciful that cleansed us for eternity, despite Satan’s tricks which dominate all his followers to be lost with him. God and Jesus’ followers know them, and have the presence of the Holy Spirit in us, and say like Paul the apostle: I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4.13) Reason for which we call on Him and know that whatever the consequences will turn out for our benefit (Romans 8.28), even in death for we trust we will be with Him. If we trust Him, we read the Scriptures, learn about Him, and befriend Him. Maybe some doubt, because they don’t know Him, but when one knows somebody well enough, one knows what that person is capable of, and when we know the Divinity we can trust them. It is very silly of anyone to trust on the ones who go against our Creator, who gave us life, and tells us how we should act to avoid the troubles we may get into for having disobeyed Him. Sometimes He lets us taste bad moments to make us stronger like it happened to Job (read the book in the Old Testament, right before the book of Psalms, about in the center of the Bible.) He could have hated God for letting him go through horrors having done the right things, yet after everything, Job ended better than before. And his “friends” who came to comfort him and told him he had done something wrong and deserved the trouble, the Lord answered: My wrath is kindled against you. . .because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. (Job 42.7) But Job prayed for his friends and the Lord restored him. That’s how the power of prayer works, when you give the glory to God. Job had said: I know that my Redeemer lives and at the last He will take His stand on the earth. (Job 19.25) The Lord helps those who ask Him. Because if they ask Him is because they know He exists and acts with love towards everybody. How could we reject someone whose teaching is: Do not devise harm against your neighbor (Proverbs 3.29). . .Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5.38 ) . . . Whoever forces you to go with him one mile, go with him two. (Matthew 5.41) The ones whose teaching is goodness are godly, yet the ones who teach about Hate and Revenge are the ones you must dread for they will do you the same they teach. We must choose the One who loves and forgives now because He is faithful in spite of us who are not. He is the author of love, and, Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is no arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth. (Ist Corinthians 13. 4-6) If we want Truth and Life then our way must be Jesus who is Love. But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE. (Ist Corinthians 13.13)

Are we proud of the organization/institution we support?

There are many people who are NOT at all. Why? Because if they are wise and realize that if such organization is not complying with the compromises that it once offered and/or promises made when you joined it, it’s not worth to support it. I can understand why some people might want to keep on at least trying it for sentimental reasons, family tradition, or others of the sort, but there’s a moment in life one has to measure if the actions taken by the institution are not prolific according to your moral and spiritual values, in order to maintain a correct belief standards, it’s time to make a choice of abandonment. It’s only natural because one cannot be a supporter of the “enemy”; like we would say: we can’t buy the rope for our own noose. If they want to befriend the “world” they do not serve our Lord. “No one can serve two masters” (Matthew 6.24a) This is a very difficult choice to make especially when you are emotionally attached, and I have experienced that, precisely. I recently resigned to the one that I was actually born into and my family had contributed all their life to, time, money, and labor wise to its development as a great Christian one in its assets like with educational, communitarian and health centers of free services. That is something which makes an institution great. And when I have read in some of their documentation many of my predecessors’ names I could not help but shed a tear. Exactly like I do when I remember how a wrong political system wiped out all the dreams many youngsters like me at one time, had with their family assets, product of much sacrifice erased by the envy of some. WHY? I ask myself. We did everything right. Why does God let things like these happen to people who gave it all for the goodness of others? My father, for instance, was not rich, but became a medical doctor with the sacrifice of others who earned pennies to pay for his career. And thanks to him many experienced benefits because he used his knowledge to serve others and that way he invested his “treasure” in heaven (where no thief comes near nor moth destroys). He was a good man and with his example taught his children and others around the way to love one another like Jesus asked to do. Yet, like many others he had to flee leaving everything behind to the new “thieves” and had to start from $0 someplace else. I also asked GOD if His son came to this world to love and serve humanity and did all the right things. WHY was he condemned to die? Was it also because of envy? Maybe, Yes, and for the rest of the deeds of the flesh which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger (violence), disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these of which I forewarn you, that those who practice such things will NOT inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5.20-21) But tell me WHO has not ever committed one of these? That is why we must ask for forgiveness, EVERYDAY, if we want to live and not be condemned eternally. Yet, we know that if we ask Him for it, He will forgive us and any setback will result to our benefit. We have to know that all the world organizations are made of people, and ALL the people inherited that curse that made us mortals (original sin), reason for which Jesus could NOT be procreated off a contaminated male sperm, but from a divine help. That is why Mary was sinless conceived and her divine offspring was not contaminated, but also sinless. That was the only way He could redeem us. And if He was condemned on earth and suffered here on earth was to comply with the Father’s will in order to make us whole again like He created us.(that was His purpose) Of course that’s if we are willing because He gave us free will to choose. He sent His Son to pay for our faults with His blood (the Red Gold), but if we want to keep on sinning, doing what we desire instead of what Jesus taught us (Read “The Sermon of the Mount” Matthew 5,6,7), and behaving wickedly, and acting like ape descendants and non believers, we would NOT inherit the Life He promised. That is why we know that our LORD helps us throughout our bad moments. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.(Psalms 34,7) I’ve heard people cursing God for bad moments they go through. It’s not His fault but ours, for not choosing Him who keeps us safe. That is why we thank Him every day, whatever the circumstances, For whom the Lord loves He reproves, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3.12) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God. (Romans 8.28a) And all those “Christian” institutions who do not teach the truth about the Word of God and want to change it (to be politically correct) should know what it was said about it: I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part of the tree of life and from the Holy City which are written in this book. ( Revelation 22.18,19)

Do we want to be included in the ones of the Millennium or be the forgotten ones with Satan?

Last month I told you of the “New Earth” and how nobody would remember anything from before, I’d dare to say “including the people who will not be there.” It is sad to think that. I cry every time I think of it because I love everyone around me and wish they could all be there too, but if they do not repent, believe, and become “new born,” they will not. That is why the pastors, priests, missionaries, evangelists, and the church of Christ preach about it, so everyone would know. Revelation 21 tells us about it, asserting what the prophet Isaiah said centuries before: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there’s no longer any sea. (Revelation 21.1) I cannot imagine an earth without a sea, but I believe anything the Lord says in His word. He will give me an understanding if I need it. Revelation is an intense book that some pastors think it wasn’t written for us but for the people of its time. Of course there are many opinions, and sadly, I’ve heard some who are even looking for passages that they think “contradict each other.” I feel sorry for their misinterpretation because many people could fall with them due to their agenda to discredit God’s word. We have to ask God to give us discernment to know what is His commands and what is not; and understand that the people of that time had not seen enough to explain with clarity and did the best they could about “futuristic ships” to describe them as we know them today, and used words of things they believed looked like what they saw. Yet, the Bible is filled with warnings like “blessed the ones who haven’t seen and yet, believed,” and, “the ones who persevere to the end will be saved,” reason for which we should not argue those issues which are not so important now and focus on the most important ones although we know that some day we will understand it all. So, we believe based in what we live and learn, and the wisdom and truth we acquire, and that’s how we strengthen our faith. The Bible says: Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Roman 10 17) also, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. (Proverbs 9.10) That FEAR means RESPECT. There are many important people who have NO respect whatsoever to The Creator and owner of everything and everyone. HE is the owner of our life and if HE wants to, HE will end it. See what has happened to all those who have dared to disrespect or ridicule Him. (Read what happened in Brazil) Where are they now? And with no chance to get pardon, nor mercy. It is a pity, but they provoked it with their ignorance. A wise man said it: He who walks in integrity, walks securely, but he who perverts his way will be found out. (Proverbs 10.9) If we do not want to be the forgotten ones we should walk in integrity. And that means to respect the Lord and do everything He suggests in His word; read it, study it, talk to Him and have a good relationship with Him in order to change our bad ways, our hatred, our envy and everything that perhaps might give us pleasure but it’s only a temporary one. The pleasure that God offers is eternal and no one can take it away from us once we become His adopted ones. I’ve heard of some who have refused an invitation to be saved from the calamity that is bound to happen to the ones who rebel against their Creator. They simply do not accept the goodness if they have to bow to an authority, in this case to a heavenly one, yet they do not realize that by refusing God, they are becoming a subject of Satan who has no pity with anyone, while God is merciful and accepts us just as we are, just like the father of the story of the “Prodigal son” who watched out for him every day until the son felt wretched and decided to come back home, and asked to be forgiven. The father celebrated his return in spite of his condition. (Luke 15. 11-32) Satan does not care for his allies and has NO authority away from earth so we will NOT be afraid for eternity is in heaven. That is why God called him “the ruler of this world,” but He also said: “he has nothing in Me.” (John 14.30) But the Creator of everything and Ruler of the Universe and everything in it left his glory behind to come to this earth to live like a human and pay for our error that made us not suited for eternity and so He died for not being “politically correct,” but overcame death for us, because He loved us so: so that WHOEVER believes in Him shall NOT perish, but have eternal life. (John 3.16c) Are We Going to be The Forgotten Subjects of Satan or live forever with a Merciful Father? HAPPY EASTER!!!

Did You Know . . . Some people are going to live one thousand more years on earth?

That is what we call "The Millennium." But of course if we do not go to a Christian Church, do not study the Bible, do not listen to a Scatology Pastor, do not have a relationship with our Creator on an every day  basis, we would be inexperienced in the matter. Anybody could have heard something of the sort from the mouth, or the pen of the non-theological “experts” who mean to mock followers of the Christian Faith. But in that Book we call The Bible, The Holy Scriptures, or The Word of God, we have all kind of promises to those who dared to believe in Christ because He has been faithful to us despite whatever many Satan friends have tried to make us believe. Jesus said it: “I am the WAY, and the TRUTH, and the LIFE; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14.6) He didn’t  say  “I am a way” He said I am THE way; so whoever does not have Him will always live in a lie.

I am not a great expert myself, but enough to know the truth. I was born in a Christian family who made it a must that their children know the truth since childhood, therefore I attended every possible Sunday School class, all the Vacation Bible Schools our church had, all the Christian Schools, Youth Camps, and any events of the sort, wherever we were, even on vacation (until the “enemy” invaded our lives, yet God helped us out to freedom of choice.) That doesn’t mean I am better than anybody else, because my intentions and efforts to belong do not save me but do give me the wisdom to desire what’s right; the knowledge to feel at ease, because I have the dweller who intercedes for me and I trust Him completely. Jesus said it before He left us then: “If you love  Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father and He will give you another Helper that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. (John 14.15-17) I might lose a battle on earth, but not the war. He will not let it because He has plans for me and they are eternal. He who is eternal and created the universe came to this world and said: I will come again and receive you to  Myself, that where I am you may be also. (John 14.3) That means we (the ones who have believed Him) will be there too.

The Millennium will take place in the thousand years time when Satan will be locked in as the apostle John foretold in the book of Revelation when the Lord showed him: Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand, and he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations and Satan’s allies started contaminating the earth God created . Any longer until the thousand years were completed; after this he must be released for a short time. (Revelation 20.1-3)  This is the time people will live the thousand years with NO sin. Can you imagine? As long as Satan is tied up there will be peace on earth for sure. Christ will establish His government form on Earth, as He meant at the beginning before Eve disobeyed God, sinning,

And who will be there? According to what John saw, the ones who were given authority to judge will do it: And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (Revelation 20.4)

A Pastor I follow on TV and YouTube has said people would still conceive and have babies as long as we are on earth in the Thousand   Years of peace. Another Pastor I heard in my church who gave us a class about the prince of the prophets, Isaiah, who prophesied since 740 to 680 before Christ times since he was 20 years old and who was the one who spoke about salvation and the Messiah and all that was going to happen to Him read something of his and said he was referring to this specific time:

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will NOT be remembered or come to mind, “But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold I create Jerusalem for rejoicing and her people for gladness. “I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; and there will no longer be heard in her the voice of weeping and the sound of crying. “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days; for the youth will die at the age of one hundred (100) and the one who does not reach the age of 100 will be thought accursed. “They will build houses and inhabit them; they will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit. “They will not build and another inhabit,  they will not plant and another eat; for as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, and My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands. “They will not labor in vain, or bear children for calamity; for they are the offspring of those blessed by the Lord, and their descendants with them. “It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. “The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all  My holy mountain,” says the Lord.  (Isaiah 65.17-25)

How do we know we are on the safe side?

There are many people who are scared for everything that goes on around us. It is OK to feel that way sometimes when we hear of the horrors that happen to others and we do not want that for us and our family, although some of us have something that many people do not have. Because they do not want to? Some of them do not want to, yes; either because they do not care or perhaps some famous, people have made them believe that what we affirm to have isn’t true, and look up for all kinds of excuses to prove their theory so they can have others scared and controlled all the time. The truth is that those who want people scared do NOT have what the children of God have that make us calm down when things seem bad. Have you heard of the death of the “unbelievers” how tragically scared they get to confront the unknown? Could it be they are afraid then? Have you heard of the passing of the believers how calm and peaceful? What could the reason be?

It is obvious that if we are constantly studying the “unknown” it will not be unfamiliar anymore. God is our friend and He will protect us from anything at all times. The Bible is full of texts that assert that truth that we have believed because we’ve experienced it. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91.1) Why do you think that the parents who care in the protection of our children teach them to reverence our All powerful God and take them to Church so they can learn “first hand”?  Nevertheless there are parents who say: “I’m going to wait until they are older to let them choose. They would know better then what they would want.” Really? Is that why you teach them to walk, to eat and talk when they are just babies? Because God knows how to teach his creation, and so the Bible says: Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he’s old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22.6)  Even though Satan has copied that strategy to teach his subjects who tempt the people to subtract the righteous from the ones who will be saved. He has always want to make God’s plans to fail reason for which he tempted the first woman and succeeded and he tempts us all the time and when someone is not prepared enough, he might succeed again. God gave us a solution, though: Submit, therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4.7) That’s why we have to be ready at any time to fight him away. We know at the very end he will lose, though that has been a fight we’ve had since the beginning when we failed at sinning when God said to the devil: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head and you shall bruise him on the heel. (Genesis 3.15)  We know, though, that the bruise on the serpent’s head is deadly and it will not ever rise to life again.

That is why we know that if we prevail in God’s teachings we will win at the end and the Lord will say: You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the Joy of your master. (Mathew 25.21) Not that we can become “vain,” but that we were obedient to our merciful Lord’s commandments who wants us to LOVE one another. These, in the Bible are called righteous, and the ones who rebel are the wicked ones. And the presence of the righteous, no matter how small, is enough for our merciful God to have pity and not destroy the city on account of even 10, like He promised Abraham with Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18. 20-33) Yet, the only righteous were 4 and God got them out although they became only 3 for the disobedience of the woman who was told not to look back and she did, and became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19.17,26)

God will take us out of this world too not to perish because of the corruption of many wicked ones even though they could repent now and change their ways, as long as we are in the period of God’s grace who has promised He will never remember our sins if we really repent of them and believe in Jesus as our savior. Therefore there is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you FREE from the law of sin and of death. (Romans 8.1-2)

And Life eternal is very easy to achieve if we follow the commandments of He who is the author of LOVE who came to free us from death:

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the son of God, God abides in him and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the LOVE which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides  in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.  There is NO fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love because He first loved us. (I John 4.15-19)

Are We Eager to Comply with our New Year’s resolutions?

Many people make these and don’t conclude them because as time passes by, things start getting cold, or perhaps other “more important” things get on the way, or simply they are forgotten because they were done in revelry, or they become not imperative anymore alluding at the lack of time.  That happens with most everything in life because all things start to deteriorate and what was most important in the past might not mean anything in the present. Even fighters lose their stamina and courage for things they think are right and get tired seeing evil “win”, getting cold feet.

It is true we might get discouraged some times because we are human beings, but you know what? Everything is written in the Word of God and we know the Children of the Almighty will win at the end because God is faithful to anyone who loves Him and acts in accordance to His will. Paul said: I can do every thing  through Christ who strengthen me, (Philippians 4.13) and John tells the believers about the ones who act according to their evil desires: You are from God, little children, and have overcome them because Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world. ( I John 4.4) That’s the reason we, Christians, feel great, knowing that no matter how bad circumstances might get, we know He’s faithful to us and the outcome will always be to our benefit. It’s promised so (Romans 8.28) The one who is “in the world” is no other than Satan who turned things around since the first woman’s rebellion obeying him rather than God and that is why he’s tried to always obstruct goodness by tempting us. He’s the author of all misery (not God, like many  blame) For God did not send his son into the world to judge the world but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3.17)

God has fulfilled all the promises He’s made to us (on the right time.) The greatest ones were the birth of the redeemer who was to come (Jesus) to make us worthy of God; his death and his resurrection at the third day; and the coming of the Holy Spirit who lives within everyone who has believed and want to live forever with the Winner. He is the only ONE who can make things right in the middle of chaos and stuff any emptiness with Joy and the peace that surpasses all understanding. That is why the ones who experience that emptiness and open their heart to Christ will find out they are unbeatable and will live to always feel like that, because that will bring them strength.

We’ve heard the testimony of many people, even public figures, who have confirmed our great feeling in spite of any circumstance because with Christ we can conquer and move any mountain through our faith. That is why Jesus says “Do not be afraid.” While Satan is “the prince of this world,” tempting everyone to sin, disobey and don’t believe in God the Father, his Son Jesus who is The Prince of Peace and makes everything right on its time. That is why my everyday  plea, after thanking Him for all He does for us, is to forgive whatever trespasses we may have made and to never forsake us. And He has promised that once we accept Him as Lord, He will never forsake us. I would like to leave you with one, if not the best, reassurance of the Word of God:

If God is for us, who’s against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is sitting at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written:

“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”    Psalm 44 22

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8.31-39)

And to belong to this group will be my Life Resolution.
