Are some of us too sad to be
celebrating anything?
Following
the tradition of the colonists at Plymouth,
Mass. back in 1621 to give thanks
for all the blessings received, this Christian nation chose Thanksgiving, the
fourth Thursday of every November as a holyday since 1863 to celebrate as a
family and thank our Lord. No matter how much trouble we might be in, if we
take a break to acknowledge God’s blessings which I’m certain are many, (Just
the mere fact to be together with our family and/or friends, sharing a moment
of peace and joy, is already a great one.), God will be pleased and will pay us
back with others, according to His will for us.
God
loves us so, just for believing in Him, we know that whatever we might go
through in this living journey is part of our “rough cocoon” to transform into
a great beautiful being that will give a pleasant smile to anyone. Just for
that, it is a must to be thankful.
God causes all
things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called
according to His purpose. (Roman 8.28)
And
His purpose is the best.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
