Is the world coming to an end?

Of course . . . but we do not know when... What we do know is what was revealed to John, the apostle, who declared in his book: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. (Revelations 21:1) The Prophet Isaiah also foretold some hundred years before, God had told him: «For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. (Isaiah 65:17)

There are many people worried with this “end of the world” ordeal which to many of us does not mean anything bad, for when the world  really ends is close to the second coming of the Lord which is what we Christians desire. Although it is very depressing for us to know that there are so many we love now who had no interest to know the truth and will not come to mind for us to save their souls then.

I came across a book about The New World Order. It is not so NEW for it is described in the Holy Scriptures (Bible) as the kingdom of the Antichrist or the Man of Sin which will really not last more than seven years, thank God. I will not deny that in many instances it was spine-chilling to find out how many respectable people are involved in this scheme for world power. It is inconceivable their greed to become a god to enjoy  . . . What? Hell? for they are already rich and famous. And the book gives complete names which I’m not going to repeat for I do not want to turn this blog into a political issue That has always been the main tool SOME people use to slave the minds into eternal sin and (HE) will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mathew 13:42)  That is why I insist in the study of the Scriptures because it is the Resource God left us to find out the truth, which despite the times the world has tried to destroy It, It is still here, giving a reference to every world issue because it is really THE WORD OF GOD. And why do many people reject it? For they to come into a perverted world that will not criticize but respect their wrongdoing, is easier than to admit their weakness and repent. They will NOT accept to submit to a good God, for an eternal life with no suffering, but they do it to sinfulness every day, for a limited enjoyment. When he was on earth, Jesus said: «Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. » (Matthew 11:29-30)

Although not even the angels know when “The End” will be, we should be prepared so it will not take us for surprise as it happened to some five foolish virgins who were left out for not having the oil for their lamps. (Matthew 25 1-13)  We should be prudent like the other five.

And to all those who are stubborn to not believe, give the Bible the benefit of the doubt and study it, criticizing it if you wish.; see how you will change your opinion I dare you do it now before it is late and you will come to no ones mind, for in a moment you will change your mind: For it is written, «As I live, says The Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall give praise to God. »
(Romans 14:11-Isaiah 45:23-Phillipians 2:10-11)

HE DID NOT STEP DOWN FROM THE CROSS. HALLELUJAH!

That we celebrate Christ’s death seems like a contradiction, but there was not any other way humanity could be saved. The “bad” robber even said it: “Save yourself, and come down from the cross!”(Mark 15:30). But that would have damaged his mission on earth,  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10 ) Peter himself tried to persuade him off His mission and Jesus words were hard to him “Get behind me Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interest, but man’s.”
 (Mark 8:33)

None of us would have been saved if it was not for the shedding of His precious blood, so we should be joyful He died. That’s how death was overcome and He arose on the third day to give us life.

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. (I Corinthians 15:22)

In the time of the Roman Empire, the cross was a symbol of the most horrible kind. Yet, after Christ, it turned into the transcendental love ever which offers life to whoever accepts it. To display it is a sign of Victory to all those who appreciate truth.

Many people relate death with defeat, but Jesus said:  Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. (John 12:24)

The Son of Man fulfilled his mission. Happy Easter!

Would you like to be part of the winner’s group?

I remember when going to school games as a teenager with my friends we used to scream our heads off to cheer our team on. I always wanted “my team” to win. Who doesn’t like to be on the winning side? That is a very exciting experience. Sometimes our team did not win despite how much we yelled at the top players and how hard they tried. We felt deceived as they excused themselves of any error made. That was sad.

When I first came to this country, I recall of a magazine called “The Winners Circle”. I don’t remember if it was about successful people or not. Later I learned that was the name which is given to the enclosure, close to the race track, where the champion horses and jockeys are photographed with their given trophies.  All champions are anyhow eulogized.

There are many clubs or groups of successful people, but I would like to talk about the one of the winners in life. And not, precisely the ones who are doing well, because they have a nice house, or perhaps more than one; a great job or a profitable business; the ones who have the latest model vehicle(s), and lots of money to enjoy life as they please. This is not bad if it was gained without cheating and used for good purposes, for God himself gave us the opportunity to be successful on this good earth He created. God saw all that He had made, and behold it was very good. (Genesis 1:31NASB)  The real winners in life are the ones who see it as a privilege and are grateful every day thanking the Creator for it and for the opportunity to enjoy it, despite the bad moments. And when they come across them, they can handle the situation for they have based their lives in their faith. When Jesus was preparing his disciples for his departure, He told them: In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

Many people think that the fact of offering himself quietly to be slaughtered and die on the cross, made Jesus become a looser paradigm. Many years ago I saw a movie about Jesus’ life in which the group of actors, who interpreted his friends, ended leaving sadly after his death. But the story was incomplete because three days after Jesus rose from the tomb. He overcame death. He is the ONLY redeemer of any existing religion to have ever done that. That’s why He said: . . . your grief will be turned into joy . . . and no one will take your joy away from you. (John 16: 20, 22) The ones who conspired to kill Jesus then probably thought that once he was gone his philosophy would become obsolete. They would have never guessed two thousand years later, his million followers would justify what Paul the apostle, asserted: But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39) If we have God’s love we are already winners.
