Are We Winning the War?

Are we in a war? Maybe you have not realized it, but yes we are, in fact we have always been. The Bible says it clearly, like all the truths that It reveals and many deny, without knowing it, for not searching and studying it. Since the devil lied to Eve and she obeyed him, thus sinning, the devil (Satan or adversary) became our enemy and has been fighting us. Why? Because, he doesn’t  want us to win. You might laugh thinking this is a joke, but it is not. God is advising us in His word through the prophets and other of his chosen ones to beware and if we don’t search the scriptures, we might be sorry we don’t make the right choice: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6.12)  And those we cannot see, but we can feel and suffer the consequences when we obey them, reason why Jesus did not obey Satan in the dessert after He fasted for 40 days and was hungry as the100% human He was, but stayed sinless as the 100% divine he was too. We are not divine to keep from sinning, but thanks to the blood of Jesus we are allowed in His family by believing. (read John 3.16) That’s the Grace.

It is possible that “we” might lose some battles against the enemy, but we know that at the end we’re going to win. It is described in the Holy Scriptures if you desire to find out. We have to be strong in our beliefs if we want to survive these attacks of the enemy like the one we are undergoing right now. We have to focus in the promises God makes and be strong to not fall in the traps the adversary surrounds us with. If we are faithful to the end we will receive the glory: Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1.12)  We cannot use these attacks to scare people like there’s no way out because there is, and the apostle Paul who was a man that persecuted Christians before he converted to Christ (a leader doesn’t have to be perfect,  just believe in the correct Messiah) explained how:

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With all prayers and petitions pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view be on the alert with all perseverance and petitions for all the saints. (Ephesians 6.13-18)

Do you really think the people who are using these attacks of the devil to benefit themselves on whatever issue, (whether is money, power or any other non godly benefit) know, read, or pray enough to win this war? Do they use the armor of God?  If they did, perhaps they changed their attitude and there would be no reason to attack the just for they would be on the same boat to justice. We could pray for them to help them understand why we have to fight together against this common enemy.  And the ones who are good people but God is not in their hearts because “their choice” is better, I hope their heart soften and ask God for wisdom to feel Him and see Him in all the goodness that is coming to us, because it’s not the “end” yet and we’re going to get out of this, but we are in the period the Bible calls “birth pangs” (Mathew 24) when many will realize God is in control and not the Presumed ones.

We have to see the hand of God in all of these things. How the ones who recover are thousands more than the ones who die and will be stronger to fight any other virus the enemy tries to send us and how the good people are helping one another and seeing the truth some have tried to cover up with their own dirt. Now we can see better God’s world He gave us and how the animals are enjoying it too. So that people do not forget I reiterate what King David wrote:

The earth is the LORD’s and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it.  For HE has founded it upon the seas, and established  it upon the rivers.  Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place?  He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully, he shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.  (Psalm 24.1-5)

Today, the Lord is inviting all to be part of His kingdom to win the war together. Do not let Him down! May God bless  us .

Are Things Going to get Worse?

I have heard different opinions. Some say the next two weeks are going to be the worst and that we haven’t reached the peak yet to start descending; and that the economic consequences are going to be devastating. Others say that this is going to be over soon and that we are going to be fine. In fact I’ve heard there are more cases cured than deaths.  I tend to be in this latter group. I think it all depends on how the problem has treated us, personally.

My 12 year old grandson heard the news and called his mother saying “Mom, we are all gonna die. This is all revealed by God in the Bible!” When I was pleased he gave God the Sovereignty position, I didn’t want him to be terrified by the way some newscasters have dared to announce their truth. (Nowadays it seems, in the news, that a dramatic scenario is more important, and to be a good “novelistic expositor”or R rated)  So I called to give him some hope, which is what many knowledgeable Christian people are doing. There are others, though, who scare people away with their own fright.

Our God is an Awesome God, like the song says and we know, by the experiences lived through the Bible there’s always a way out for all those who have put their trust on Him, the ones who have Hope and know that the Lord watches over us all the time.  And I do not disprove of the “bad times” predicted in it, but these are not the ones yet. There are many things that should happen first and one of them is the rapture of Christ’s church. Do you want to know? Study the Bible, now that we have much time; and know that those plagues in revelation will not be against the “righteous.” These things now are happening to make us better, and start loving one another; and give a much needed rest to our planet. When we all suffer the people humble themselves and remember God. We must obey the authorities and take all precautions. Believe in Jesus because He delivered us from eternal death when He died on the cross in our place. If we do, we’ll feel invincible knowing God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8.28)

Knowing that whoever tried to attack us with this pandemic is a faithful agent of the Adversary, I wrote a couple of stanzas to be sung with the music of “He’s got the whole World in His Hand”

 They think they’d put the world upside down; and had the whole wide world on lock down.  They thought they had all people terrorized and would be trembling in their hands.

But they ignore the power in our hearts, which is the one we have on Jesus Christ, who gives us hope and sense when we kneel down; we’ll crush the evil to subside.  EN

Our reality is serious but God’s love is greater: We were considered as sheeps to be slaughtered, but in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. (Romans 8.36b,37)

Things are not getting worse but better. I have seen all kinds of goodness since all of this started: great food giving programs, medical and all kinds of help to the needy; people who devote themselves to bring relief and good news to others with no other gain than the great satisfaction our God gives; entire communities all over kneeling down on prayers for the world. The Lord said it through His servant: The Word has gone forth from my mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. (Isaiah 45.23)  

One Friday our Lord was crucified, but three days later people knew they had won over evil, shouting:

OUR LORD HAS RISSEN, HALLELUJAH!!!
