Would you reject a precious gift given by your father?

Imagine that your father, a very wealthy man, comes up to you on your birthday or any other special date to congratulate you and give you a small wrapped box. Would you say: “No, thanks, I don’t want it; give it to somebody else”? What would anybody who sees that say?  How ungrateful? . . . How foolish?  What would you think if you saw that?

Well, we see that every moment of our life. It happens constantly. Some are rejecting what our Creator is giving us by His grace. God is always calling us. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and open the door, I will come in to him and dine with him and he with Me. (Revelations 3.20).He wants to give us a present The greatest gift that GOD, our father, gave us was Jesus Christ, His son: For God so loved the world that He gave us his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall NOT perish, but have eternal life. (John 3.16)  He did it so we could have a good eternity. And how many of us reject him every day? How many say NO to his grace of giving us eternal life? I’ve heard people saying: “I do not want to spend an eternity on a cloud playing a harp,” because that’s the image they have seen on cartoons that someone invented, and have rejected the true experiences many have told of the joy they have felt when they rest in the arms of the Lord. Perhaps they do not want to spend an eternity in a cloud (something I have NOT read in the Bible) but rather do it on the “lake of fire”: But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelations 21.8) So, if they rather spend their eternity there to not believe now, it’s their choice. The Lord says it: My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11.30) He is giving us ALL the opportunity to spend enjoyable time NOW and forevermore. Do not reject it.
The other invaluable gift was given by Jesus to the disciples and to all who receives the first gift. Before He ascended to heaven he said: “I will ask the father and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever.” (John 14.16)

And all of us who let the Spirit abide in us, are confident that all God’s promises in the Bible have been, are, and will be true which is something that makes us enjoy life and have great expectations for the life after death. Don’t reject that gift, and listen to His calling:
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
 (Matthew 11.28)

If you do listen, He will live within you and you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses. (Acts 1.8a)

Let’s welcome Him, and enjoy!
