Do We Dare Reject a Blessing?

The conclusive, all-around reference, according to the dictionary, is that, a blessing is something conducing to happiness or welfare; and, who wants to reject that? I could say many adjective words to illustrate whoever does it, and I beg your pardon if I disrespect anyone, but the best one is: FOOL. Anybody who gives away something valuable to his well being is really a fool, like it has happened many times before and it’s continually happening due to the ignorance and inexperience of the unwise, and the lies of the “politically right” witnesses declarations. If we do not want to be fools, we must learn to recognize WHO is giving out the announcement, or proclamation.

In this fallen world we are living today where everything seems to worsen rapidly, we only have ONE blessing that came to fix it to give us hope and life which many are rejecting, and that is Jesus Christ. This is the time we celebrate his human birth, and people do not care to know Him because it implies a change they might not like, thinking they would suffer defeat when it is really the opposite.  It is like the hog which loves the pigsty and will not leave for it’s a pleasure.  It is a pity for human beings who have rejected the One who can bless them for good and offer the peace which surpasses all comprehension here on earth, and life eternal, for a sick decaying world that only offers discomfort whose controllers prefer you to stay in the pigsty so they can live it up. What they do not know is that all that “goodness” on account to your real misery is only temporary and will lead to damnation if they do not repent before it’s too late (irreversible). Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God for He will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55.6-7) Now is the time of His Grace. Later is TOO LATE.

That is the GOOD NEWS that all caring people are trying to let everyone know so people can be saved from the upcoming misery the liars are trying to make us believe about the “global goodness” which is against God’s will. The unjust only want to keep you “having fun” to be able to control you and their justifying announcers are engaged on Satan’s agenda.

The announcers of the GOOD NEWS were not ephemeral earthly beings, but eternal spiritual ones, angels. One told to simple workers, shepherds out in the fields around whom the Glory of the Lord shone and they were frightened:  “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”...And suddenly there appeared a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased (of good will)” (Luke2.10b,11,13)

I hope we can rescue many that will not reject to be saved.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

What Are We Doing to be Safe?

Safe?  . . .  of what?  I assume that if we want to be good people, we want to be safe from evil. And EVIL has been attacking us, the human beings, the most excellent creation of God, since the beginning. It was evil who seduced the first woman to make her disobey her Creator and convince her partner to do it too; because we were not going to die?  Not immediately, but eternally, reason for which Jesus had to come to this world to rescue us because He loved us so. But EVIL is, like the Scriptures call it: the adversary, the devil (which) prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. (I Peter 5.8b) so we have to be on the alert because he is very smart and can easily enslave us into serving his purpose to go the wrong way and perish eternally. So we all need God’s help, for sure.

There are evil people, though, who also want to be safe. Safe from being caught doing what they like to do best: whatever, in order to win over the ones who will live to serve them. They will convince “others” with their lies to “have them in their pocket”, yet that is something tricky because if the person is smart he realizes their reason is NOT viable to succeed if it goes against the will of the Heavenly Father which is to benefit those who love, and have believed in Him. (Romans 8.28) It is so to anyone who repents, even if he was evil before, but repents by heart. Jesus really came to cleanse us all (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3.23) but many don’t believe that. They think, I imagine, it’s not possible to be cleansed because they are way too dirty. He came to pay our debt and make us (everyone) free from evil. He says: Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For my yoke is easy, and My burden is light. (Matthew 11. 29-30)

I do not understand how people do not take advantage of the goodness Jesus offers if it’s safe. The Father is our Creator and He knows what’s best for us. That’s the reason He gave us instructions in his Word to follow so we do not fall into something we cannot escape from, and He’s merciful to forgive us if we truly repent from our error. But the ones who bask in the deeds of the flesh who will NOT inherit the kingdom of God (See Galatians 5.19-21) fill up the understanding of some with evil garbage. Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand. And the rulers take counsel together against The Lord and against His Anointed saying, “Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!” (Psalms 2. 1-3) Their evil thoughts against God and His children will reverse against them like a boomerang.

In order to have the Peace that surpasses all understanding, we must trust the Lord and thank Him. Take advantage of our celebration this month and thank God who is in control to bring us peace and prosperity if we take warning.

We can do it if we try:

Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in HIM! (Psalms 2.11-12)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING and don’t forget to vote SMART.

Have We Been Victims of a Life-Changing Experience?

If we are Human Beings all of us have been, because we are constantly changing. There are many things that can change our lives immediately like a change of mind, a change of address, a change of government, a drastic decision made, a good one like marriage, or a pregnancy, a new permanent visitor, a health diagnostic, bad news, a death of a loved one, an accident; actually, it could be many things.

I used the word Victim because other than the personal “decision” one, which is something we choose and happily accept the results, the others might come as a surprise and can cause discomfort. And that is not “good” for anyone who wants to have a peaceful life. But, we can be beneficiary of a change for “good”.  That can be of happiness despite the counter effect it might represent. It all depends on the character of the subject. I remember when I was very young, in my twenty’s, I had an accident that changed my life completely. I lost my good health, my good job, my spouse, my security, my desire to continue living, and I was angry at God. I wanted to leave and escape all that surrounded me like if doing so I could erase the past. But, could the past leave me? Any bad choice then was going to make my life miserable. So rather than continuing with my misery, I decided to let my friends and family’s good intentions comfort me and that’s when I felt the love of them. I felt the blessing of churches praying for me. People sent me good books to read, great food to eat, and good advice that got me to thinking I could not let that goodness leave, and give up all of what the Lord had in store for me. I realized that if my Creator who loved me so much to come into this world and pay my debt so I could live forever, I wasn’t going to let Him down. He had brought me out of death so I could raise my children and teach them the good way to go in life, in school with their classmates and always building a life on the ROCK.

If God lets you experience a hardship is so you can come out beautiful and strong like a butterfly out of a cocoon.  That is like the New Birth Jesus told Nicodemus one must have to enter the Kingdom of heaven (read John 3) I will leave you with verses that give you wisdom, like they did me:

-Therefore everyone who hears these words of  Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against the house; and yet it did not fall for it had been founded in the rock. (Matthew 7 24.25)

-Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. (Psalm 127.1)

Aren’t We Tired of Defying God? Why are We Angry at Him?

There have been many people who defy God all the time. Last month I wrote about what happened to important people like a King who dared to do that. I just mentioned one example from the Bible, although there are many others. The Bible is full of true stories of what happened to people who were disobedient to God’s commands and died, but also of others who were obedient, and lived.

Stubborn people who are arrogant and cannot go against their own beliefs of taking advantage for themselves, and the ones who support them, for the wrong reasons, are all doomed to fall. And for that they usually defy and curse God. Others do it because they blame Him for everything “bad” that happens to them. These two groups have one thing in common: they both know He is real. Otherwise they wouldn’t care to do it. There is a third group who do not defy Him with their mouth, but with their actions; who actually thank Him for the wrong opportunity of “feeling good” and think of it as a prize (blessing). This one group will have its end results right here on earth with the rejection of others they might love.

All throughout the Bible we also see that not all is bad for those people who curse angrily because as we can read we have a God that loves us and is merciful with all of us who repent. In all the instances, despite how bad our fault might have been, He gives us an opportunity, not to feel good for an ephemeral time but to do great always. That is what he has promised to the ones who have believed and realized our error. The first hardheaded group who rather fight and hate Him will end bad because they would not dare to humiliate themselves into asking for forgiveness. The second group, if they get to think, might realize that if they are suffering is not really God’s fault, but their own or someone who has hurt them and will pay for it.  They think He has deserted them when He’s really trying them to ask Him for help to overcome hard situations, to be free of the devil’s suggestions to curse God. When they realize how much our Creator gave up to pay our debt to make us worthy of eternal life, they’ll start getting wise and trusting, teaching their family to honor Him; humble to ask forgiveness for having let hate dominate them, and start feeling whole, loved and invincible. The emptiness we used to feel, the anxiety, the fear will go away. We’ll start living in the truth, and whatever happens will be to grow in strength for we are children of the Most High.

Before He went home, Jesus spoke to his disciples to prepare them (and us) to live in this world of sin due to our disobedience and said He would not leave us alone:

These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you may have tribulation, but take courage: I have OVERCOME the world. (John 16.33)

Are We Proud of What we Say in public?

We have to be very careful of that, especially if we are a “public figure” because we tend to act/speak  according to our feelings and what we say might not be of the preference of the majority of the people who placed us in the position of fame we might hold, and that could end with our career. (Never think that because we are famous we’ll be able to convince the people, especially if they are thinkers and know the truth which makes us free.) Many of us who know that Truth that makes us free do speak it out and are not afraid, no matter what now, for we know that someday we’ll get our reward in glory. And that doesn’t seem too far away.

There are some people who think, erroneously, that they are infallible and can get away with anything they propose whether is true or not. And some do get away with it, perhaps for a longer time than we would wish but we know that if God permitted it is because it will serve to the Glory of God when they do fall. And they will fall big, mark my words, because the higher somebody climbs, he who is against God or His little ones (like Jesus said in Matthew 25), the greater the fall. Some, who simply are in a position and think nobody can take it away, will some day have to face the Only One who can really take it, and there’s no time then to repent for all the foolishness said or done for lack of knowledge. May God have pity on them for accrediting other baseless fools .  Remember what happened to the people who scoffed  at Noah. And it’s not that I want that to happen to the ones who laugh now, but I want them to reconsider to not perish. Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord;  Assuredly  he will not be unpunished. (Proverbs 16.5)

There are many who hate and fight Christians because we try to preserve the moral standards our Creator taught us, and we know that even when we may lose some battles on earth, we should still try to do what’s right and not halt for we are doing what is expected of a good soldier. Paul said: Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.         (Galatians 6.9)

The Bible gives us many examples of what happened to important people whose positions seemed impossible to abolish, like kings, for instance. Yet there’s NOTHING impossible for God and He eliminates whom He wants.  In the ancient Babylon, King Belshazzar made the mistake of defying God by using the gold and silver vessels his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple of God in Jerusalem to use with his nobles and their women to feast and sin (Daniel.5) and a hand wrote a sentence on the wall for everyone to see. The king was alarmed and had Daniel come to interpret. Daniel reminded him of the glory of his father and said: But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit became so proud that he behaved arrogantly, he was deposed of his royal throne and his glory was taken away from him. (Daniel 5.20)  And knowing that, he also sinned by exalting himself against the Lord of heaven so God put an end to his kingdom and that very night he was slain. God is Sovereign, and can eliminate us, if we do not  change our bad ways.

Likewise there are institutions today which have sinned, for the sake of “some peoples’ goodness,”yet they can repent of their erroneous decisions. We should not be aggressive for it, but thank God they did well. And like them, we can also humble ourselves and repent for our angered comments.

A very wise man said:

He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof, will dwell among the wise. He who neglects discipline despises himself, but He who listens to reproof acquires understanding. The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom, and before honor comes HUMILITY. (Proverbs  15. 31-33)

Are We Safe in the institution We Support? Is God OK with it?

Every day we see more disastrous things happening in this world, like the Bible says it would happen in the lasts days. Yet there are people who still believe the Bible is not accurate, when everything that has been “discovered” by Science had its roots in the Word of God. And the bad things are due to those who want to cunningly “smart out” its unavoidable Truth which the world wants to hide to make believable its own reasonings. Yet the believers in God, who have trusted the only ONE who came into this world to pay for our error and to reconcile us with our Creator, know for sure He’s the only One we can trust because many institutions are NOT accomplishing with the task they were created for. (Reason for which many smaller religious institutions have abandoned their parenting one).

It is very sad to see how many of them who call themselves followers of the “Correct Road to heaven” have sided with the world’s teachings just to keep an “agreeable position” with the majority, for their own interests. Even if it means that many would fall. I say that because I have experienced it myself, and lived what some leaders have done being supporters of “wrongdoers” whom they should correct  to show them The Right Way. But instead they encourage them justifying their doing, urging them to stay strong on their “heroic pretentiousness” and embarrassing real believers who think otherwise. And all of that, blessed by the parent- institution they represent. It’s a pity. The institutions which do not honor the Word of God will surely fail.

Many may think it is bad to scold people, but how else can we know how to honor the sanctity of God?  He left us an advice through our apostle Paul we should follow:  Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And DO NOT be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12.1,2)

On the other hand, we have institutions which are in the correct  road, and are focused in trusting the will of God instead of the world’s and this is what happened to one of them:  Living under an oppressive atheist dictatorship they were preparing for their worship service the following day, when a deadly accident hit their next door neighbor which would’ve been a much needed income to the dictatorship. That accident cost many lives and wounds to people, and the expansion force hit many other buildings around where it also hurt infants. The Godly institution was also hurt, for the domed ceiling fell and it’s going to need much help from the Godly people around the globe. But, you know what? All 18 members inside could come out unharmed and that’s the difference. When we trust a world like institution we might not be safe. Many Godly people here in the US did not like that the official newscasters there didn’t mention God’s institution. I guess it would have been embarrassing for them to admit what we constantly say: The Lord favors those who fear Him, those who wait for His loving kindness. (Psalm 147.11)

I exhort those institutions which once were Godly and only have the name now, to reconsider their attitude. A great denomination name will not save them from perishing. Jesus said: “Not everyone who says to Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father will enter. Many will say to Me on that day ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name performed many miracles?’ “And then  I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS’ ” (Matthew 7.21-23)

Thank God we live in a place where its main institution: the constitution of the USA was founded under the Almighty God and He won’t let anyone do away with it.

Happy Independence Day!!!
