What Are We Doing to be Safe?

Safe?  . . .  of what?  I assume that if we want to be good people, we want to be safe from evil. And EVIL has been attacking us, the human beings, the most excellent creation of God, since the beginning. It was evil who seduced the first woman to make her disobey her Creator and convince her partner to do it too; because we were not going to die?  Not immediately, but eternally, reason for which Jesus had to come to this world to rescue us because He loved us so. But EVIL is, like the Scriptures call it: the adversary, the devil (which) prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. (I Peter 5.8b) so we have to be on the alert because he is very smart and can easily enslave us into serving his purpose to go the wrong way and perish eternally. So we all need God’s help, for sure.

There are evil people, though, who also want to be safe. Safe from being caught doing what they like to do best: whatever, in order to win over the ones who will live to serve them. They will convince “others” with their lies to “have them in their pocket”, yet that is something tricky because if the person is smart he realizes their reason is NOT viable to succeed if it goes against the will of the Heavenly Father which is to benefit those who love, and have believed in Him. (Romans 8.28) It is so to anyone who repents, even if he was evil before, but repents by heart. Jesus really came to cleanse us all (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3.23) but many don’t believe that. They think, I imagine, it’s not possible to be cleansed because they are way too dirty. He came to pay our debt and make us (everyone) free from evil. He says: Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For my yoke is easy, and My burden is light. (Matthew 11. 29-30)

I do not understand how people do not take advantage of the goodness Jesus offers if it’s safe. The Father is our Creator and He knows what’s best for us. That’s the reason He gave us instructions in his Word to follow so we do not fall into something we cannot escape from, and He’s merciful to forgive us if we truly repent from our error. But the ones who bask in the deeds of the flesh who will NOT inherit the kingdom of God (See Galatians 5.19-21) fill up the understanding of some with evil garbage. Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand. And the rulers take counsel together against The Lord and against His Anointed saying, “Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!” (Psalms 2. 1-3) Their evil thoughts against God and His children will reverse against them like a boomerang.

In order to have the Peace that surpasses all understanding, we must trust the Lord and thank Him. Take advantage of our celebration this month and thank God who is in control to bring us peace and prosperity if we take warning.

We can do it if we try:

Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in HIM! (Psalms 2.11-12)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING and don’t forget to vote SMART.
