Do you think I could convince you?

Would my arguments be strong enough to convince anyone of an error? They are if they are approved by the Perfect One for his purpose, which is that all his creatures be saved and live forever with the heir of everything there is, that is Jesus Christ our Savior. Of course, to convince anyone is not easy. Not even Jesus with his consent from heaven had it easy with his opponents whose arguments are still causing division and misinterpretation of the truth as we have believed it. When Jesus met with an officer of the organization that feared him, Nicodemus who came to question him, he said: “If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3.12)

The Scriptures, or The Bible, is the Word of God which many, may use on their behalf perhaps to defend anything they might feel engaged to.  They even use it to contradict its teachings which only serve God’s purpose in the world, reason why it is usually said: “A text out of context is a pretext.” But many verses are rich in their meanings to be completely explicit on their own, and serve their objective. That is why we believe in The Bible from cover to cover. No matter how many try to discredit it by saying it is a book of “fiction” or that it contradicts itself. I dare them to read it and discover its might. Many who have done it to attack it have convinced themselves of the opposite. That is why we, believers know as the prophet Isaiah said: “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will my WORD be, which goes forth from my mouth: It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55.10-11)

When I write, it is not I who speaks, but God himself. That is why, sometimes, after having prayed, when I start writing and get out of the main idea, something goes wrong and I start erasing and re-writing until I get into the right track again. Thank God for it! So actions speak louder, thus convincing the people it is wise to believe in He who left his throne of glory to become one of us to pay for our sins. Having lived a blameless life He became responsible of our guilt and suffered in our place so whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3.16b)

If you let Him, He will convince you to live in victory from this moment on, and He will give you the desire to do as He commanded when the Holy Spirit starts living within us.  The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.(I John 3.24)

Let’s celebrate His triumph on the cross by singing
 THE LORD HAS RISEN, HALLELUIA!!!

Happy Easter!
