Many people make these and don’t conclude them because as time passes by, things start getting cold, or perhaps other “more important” things get on the way, or simply they are forgotten because they were done in revelry, or they become not imperative anymore alluding at the lack of time. That happens with most everything in life because all things start to deteriorate and what was most important in the past might not mean anything in the present. Even fighters lose their stamina and courage for things they think are right and get tired seeing evil “win”, getting cold feet.
It is true we might get discouraged some times because we are human beings, but you know what? Everything is written in the Word of God and we know the Children of the Almighty will win at the end because God is faithful to anyone who loves Him and acts in accordance to His will. Paul said: I can do every thing through Christ who strengthen me, (Philippians 4.13) and John tells the believers about the ones who act according to their evil desires: You are from God, little children, and have overcome them because Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world. ( I John 4.4) That’s the reason we, Christians, feel great, knowing that no matter how bad circumstances might get, we know He’s faithful to us and the outcome will always be to our benefit. It’s promised so (Romans 8.28) The one who is “in the world” is no other than Satan who turned things around since the first woman’s rebellion obeying him rather than God and that is why he’s tried to always obstruct goodness by tempting us. He’s the author of all misery (not God, like many blame) For God did not send his son into the world to judge the world but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3.17)
God has fulfilled all the promises He’s made to us (on the right time.) The greatest ones were the birth of the redeemer who was to come (Jesus) to make us worthy of God; his death and his resurrection at the third day; and the coming of the Holy Spirit who lives within everyone who has believed and want to live forever with the Winner. He is the only ONE who can make things right in the middle of chaos and stuff any emptiness with Joy and the peace that surpasses all understanding. That is why the ones who experience that emptiness and open their heart to Christ will find out they are unbeatable and will live to always feel like that, because that will bring them strength.
We’ve heard the testimony of many people, even public figures, who have confirmed our great feeling in spite of any circumstance because with Christ we can conquer and move any mountain through our faith. That is why Jesus says “Do not be afraid.” While Satan is “the prince of this world,” tempting everyone to sin, disobey and don’t believe in God the Father, his Son Jesus who is The Prince of Peace and makes everything right on its time. That is why my everyday plea, after thanking Him for all He does for us, is to forgive whatever trespasses we may have made and to never forsake us. And He has promised that once we accept Him as Lord, He will never forsake us. I would like to leave you with one, if not the best, reassurance of the Word of God:
If God is for us, who’s against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is sitting at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written:
“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.” Psalm 44 22
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8.31-39)
And to belong to this group will be my Life Resolution.
