How do we know we are on the safe side?

There are many people who are scared for everything that goes on around us. It is OK to feel that way sometimes when we hear of the horrors that happen to others and we do not want that for us and our family, although some of us have something that many people do not have. Because they do not want to? Some of them do not want to, yes; either because they do not care or perhaps some famous, people have made them believe that what we affirm to have isn’t true, and look up for all kinds of excuses to prove their theory so they can have others scared and controlled all the time. The truth is that those who want people scared do NOT have what the children of God have that make us calm down when things seem bad. Have you heard of the death of the “unbelievers” how tragically scared they get to confront the unknown? Could it be they are afraid then? Have you heard of the passing of the believers how calm and peaceful? What could the reason be?

It is obvious that if we are constantly studying the “unknown” it will not be unfamiliar anymore. God is our friend and He will protect us from anything at all times. The Bible is full of texts that assert that truth that we have believed because we’ve experienced it. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91.1) Why do you think that the parents who care in the protection of our children teach them to reverence our All powerful God and take them to Church so they can learn “first hand”?  Nevertheless there are parents who say: “I’m going to wait until they are older to let them choose. They would know better then what they would want.” Really? Is that why you teach them to walk, to eat and talk when they are just babies? Because God knows how to teach his creation, and so the Bible says: Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he’s old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22.6)  Even though Satan has copied that strategy to teach his subjects who tempt the people to subtract the righteous from the ones who will be saved. He has always want to make God’s plans to fail reason for which he tempted the first woman and succeeded and he tempts us all the time and when someone is not prepared enough, he might succeed again. God gave us a solution, though: Submit, therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4.7) That’s why we have to be ready at any time to fight him away. We know at the very end he will lose, though that has been a fight we’ve had since the beginning when we failed at sinning when God said to the devil: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head and you shall bruise him on the heel. (Genesis 3.15)  We know, though, that the bruise on the serpent’s head is deadly and it will not ever rise to life again.

That is why we know that if we prevail in God’s teachings we will win at the end and the Lord will say: You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the Joy of your master. (Mathew 25.21) Not that we can become “vain,” but that we were obedient to our merciful Lord’s commandments who wants us to LOVE one another. These, in the Bible are called righteous, and the ones who rebel are the wicked ones. And the presence of the righteous, no matter how small, is enough for our merciful God to have pity and not destroy the city on account of even 10, like He promised Abraham with Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18. 20-33) Yet, the only righteous were 4 and God got them out although they became only 3 for the disobedience of the woman who was told not to look back and she did, and became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19.17,26)

God will take us out of this world too not to perish because of the corruption of many wicked ones even though they could repent now and change their ways, as long as we are in the period of God’s grace who has promised He will never remember our sins if we really repent of them and believe in Jesus as our savior. Therefore there is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you FREE from the law of sin and of death. (Romans 8.1-2)

And Life eternal is very easy to achieve if we follow the commandments of He who is the author of LOVE who came to free us from death:

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the son of God, God abides in him and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the LOVE which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides  in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.  There is NO fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love because He first loved us. (I John 4.15-19)

Happy Valentine and Love and Friendship day!
