Are we really ingrained in the TRUTH? What is the outcome?
Many people cannot recognize the truth because they have not lived it. We can say that of lies too. If people have lived the way Satan’s agents work out his “truths”, they can tell they are really lies. You have to live it to believe it, some can say. No matter how many times we hear the truth, some people are not going to believe it unless they care, because they live it. That is the reason why many people who are sent to spy the “other side” have changed their minds when they live with the “enemy” and learn to behave like them, to mislead them, but they can get to feel like them if they get too involved and learn “truths” they didn’t know about, and touch them enough. And it could become significant to their lives. That is the truth, no matter which side you’re on.
It is very sad for some people who have put their lives at risk to save their family of “lies” that can kill, to learn later that those lies have reached that family they were trying to protect which turns against them. That truth kills parents making them feel defeated due to the ignorance of others, YET, we Christians have an alternative we can’t ignore and that is to keep deep-rooted in the TRUTH. We must keep praying for our children. God hears our prayers. We don’t need to wait for an interview with Him. And the Christians who listen to other Christians strengthen their faith learning the truth. So Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10.17)
In the epistle according to John (and author of the 3 letters of John in the New Testament prior to the book of Revelation, also of his authorship) Jesus said the famous “I AM’s”: The Bread of life (6. 35, 41, 48, 51); The Light of the World (8. 12, 9.5); The Door & Pastor (10. 7, 9, 11, 14); The Resurrection & Life (11.25); The Teacher (13.13); The Way, The TRUTH and The Life (14.6); The True Vine (15.1,5). And because we have believed all of that, we have become His real family and have all the resources to be safe from everything the Devil has threaten against us, with the help of his friends who can turn things around to make us look bad just for doing the will of God. That is why we must obey the TRUTH no matter what, because we are convinced that if He loved us enough to become one of us He was going to suffer. And according to the Father, He had to suffer the consequences of our faults in order to make us worthy of Life Eternal, otherwise we would ALL had failed to live (Read Romans chapter3. 10-22): For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3.23)
The Bible is very clear in stating what we should do. It doesn’t mean that God’s commandments were given as some kind of sanction, but as a warning of what could happen if we dare not execute them. Of course we all know that if we don’t do what we are supposed to we will suffer bad result, but if we repent of even thinking it, we can be cleared of danger. Nevertheless, sometimes we need to be in distress in order to wise up. James (probably Jesus’ half brother) explained it: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete lacking in nothing. (James 1. 2-4) So, never think that a trial is a punishment but rather the earning of a Diploma. Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1.12)
In this month we celebrate Thanksgiving Day let’s be truthful and give thanks to the Only One who never changes for He created us with love and will take care of us always. In His Word He has given us more than a thousand promises we can count on if we are his, like this prayer: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life. And I wll dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER. (Psalm23.4-6)
