It is known that if one is in favor of someone, it is, of course, against his opponent. That is the truth in any existent field. And if we do not honor, we may accuse. It is also true that, even though we might not be against someone, we might dislike some of the attitudes or choices the person makes, especially if it’s a person in power who affects our well-being. That is why people protest. Some are rightfully protesting, some are simply trying to get your affection by lying and/or being bribed into it.
Some people act for their own benefit no matter how much harm they can bring onto others (these are like the protesters who destroy and make people angry), on the contrary, others act with Love toward one another despite their own discomfort (these are the ones who try to save lives, heal, help, and make people feel good.) So it is LOVE what drives the people to feel good, and that, my friend is what Christ’s gospel is ALL about; He’s the creator of LOVE and his teaching is precisely based on that, so we all get to know his goodness and by doing so we are in fact honoring Him. That is why I constantly tell everyone what He has done for me and for everyone who dares get to know Him. He is God Himself: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1.1) No matter what some people try to teach you to deny that, if you are really, by only believing, of the family of God and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you, they will not persuade you, not even to “hate” them for being opposed to you, for real Christians are based on Christ’s loving, even the enemy.
Some people blame God for everything that is going on in the world today, but they do not make time for Him nor do they ask Him for help and humbly submit to his will, which is always to our benefit. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him. (Romans 8.28a) They think that because they are hurting, it is God’s fault and He is to blame. (Of course if they believe there’s a God.) He is to blame, yes, for leaving his royal Throne and coming into this corrupt world to live like us, sinners, and to pay the price for our faults in order to make us worthy for the kingdom of Glory that is coming after the Anti Christ gets defeated, and to offer us everlasting life instead of the everlasting death we deserve. Do you know the events of the latter days we are now living? Why don’t we learn and read a little bit more, “from the experts” (like some say) to get a little wisdom? The fear (concern) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Psalm 111.10a) Who’s going to think that the one who gave up his glory to come here to pay the price for our freedom so we could LIVE eternally is the one to blame for our misfortunes? He made us perfect and we blew it when our first mother, full of covetousness let herself be lied to by the adversary who simply wanted God’s creation to be at fault, to get destroyed, and from then on God has gotten us out of trouble, and taught us how to behave to not have trouble. And did we listen? Who puts the other cheek or walk the extra mile? Who does not get angry with his neighbor, boss, abuses him/her? Who does exactly as Jesus taught. . . He who was mistreated and did not argue and suffered our penalty of death saying: “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23.34a) How can anybody, on his right mind, think He wants our harm? Yes, sometimes we have to undergo discipline so we can find wisdom. Like the wise man said: My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord or loathe His reproof, for whom the Lord loves, He reproves. Even as a Father corrects the son in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3.11-12)
The Lord has proven His love for us and whatever He allows to happen has a reason in his will for our goodness. If you read the book of Job you will find out that after losing his family, health and all possessions, he was rewarded with more family, doubled the property and health restoration, for never accusing Him of being unfair despite his questions.
I know we all have questions for we are not Super Beings, I’ve had them before with my personal problems, but I have realized that if He created me and He is good I can blindly trust Him. Jesus own brother, James, wrote a letter to the dispersed abroad convert Christians in which he says: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1.2-4)
Consider it JOY? It sounds “shameful” and completely out of place, yet if our Creator let it happen, Great! He knows what’s best. Paul the apostle also said it in his letter to the Romans: And we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint because the Love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5.3-5)
