Should the Church get involved in politics?

This is an issue extremely difficult due to the diversity of opinions. I, myself, do not think the Church should dictate laws to force all citizens to follow the same kind of cult. Just as there are different religions with diverse forms of worship that people like, according to their conviction or habit; one faith should not be collectively imposed.. I think a Theocracy would be a disaster, politically speaking. That was not the reason for which the Church was created, and it would serve as a terrorist validation system.
The opposite should not be either. Politics should not interfere in the Church´s matters. Unless, of course, a particular church is acting completely different to all ethic and moral behavior in the society, the government should not get involved.

Nevertheless, a good intentioned Christian oriented government with so many benefits for its citizens is exalted by almighty God, reason for which The United States of America has been so blessed. Its founders knew that the only true God should direct it all. That is why every time there is a law against the Church, which is God´s family on earth, everyone loses. Together with the Jews, the chosen nation, we, Christians, are also told: I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you, I will curse. (Genesis 12:3)

Therefore, let us continue with the blessings as the wise founders dreamed of. They were also fleeing an imposed politic.

Happy Fourth of July!
